2023 Fuel Surcharge Policy

An additional charge applies to all charters when fuel prices are greater than $4/gal

This will be an additional cost paid on the day of your excursion. We apply the rates based off the Ocean City Fishing Center's marina fuel prices.

Your trip could vary

In order to provide the best possible fishing experience for you and your crew, our captains apply their firsthand knowledge to suggest the best location for your trip. They take into account a variety of factors such as migration patterns, water temp, altimetry, chlorophyll, salinity, weather, and even fishing reports from the previous days to make that determination. This means that we do not exclusively fish the same canyon over and over. Our mission is to put you on fish! However, please estimate a roughly 250 gallon usage for a 12 hour charter.

Example

Let's say you went fishing today. It's 4/1/22. April fools! You book a 12 hour charter for $2,500. We depart to the Washington canyon, troll, and return. Our total fuel usage is 260 gallons and the current cost of fuel at the dock is $5.30. Your additional fuel surcharge would be $5.30 - $3.75 = $1.55(fuel surcharge) * 260 gallons =$403.

Therefore $403 would be added on to make the total cost of the trip $2,903.
